Half a pack of cigarettes in the trash Seven different credit cards cut in half A journal with my name in A thousand written pages My little magnum opus I'm cutting out the parts that make it drag And that includes you That includes you Bring out your dead Christmas cards and valentines left unwrapped A dumpster full of gasoline and a match Throw in our apartment and the town that we grew up in It's our little Armageddon I'm lighting up the parts that held me back And that includes you That includes you Bring out your dead

Relapse 04:28
Black dress Combat boots Five little star tattoos Red lips and the Devil's grin Teeth with my skin in shot glass and it's half full compliments of some other fool But with that old look, It's hopeless, I've never been able to resist. ...but I try to remember everything that happened last time. I try. But I forget about it all when she walks by. She put herself in front of my eyes She put herself in the back of my mind In every verse and every line, man, She drives me wild Kiss and tell? well shame on you. You had me so confused but if I let you in again Then shame on me This time it won't be so easy ...I'll try to remember everything that happened last time. I try. But I forget about it all when she walks by. We run in circles - we all relapse Twelve steps forward - Twelve steps back

Day x Day 04:27
Alive in the underground, warm and safe The wild and the wind, the rain, stay away And you don't hold that power over me anymore Alive, but then just in case, I caffeinate Sign on the dotted line - nod and shake But you don't hold that power over me anymore 'Cause I do it all (taking it all day by day) I do it all with disregard (taking it all day by day) and I don't wait for the starting gun (taking it all day by day) Every day's a free-for-all (taking it all day by day) Chapter 10, page 98 says without chains I'd float away Without cohesion I'd disintegrate I'm in constant danger, but I can't wait (You don't hold that power of me) I can't wait anymore 'Cause I do it all (taking it all day by day) I do it all with disregard (taking it all day by day) and I don't wait for the starting gun (taking it all day by day) Every day's a free-for-all (taking it all day by day) I'm free - starting tomorrow

LMBT1 03:03
These hands are not pretty But I dug from underneath the city Took an eternity, but I would keep on digging If only you would let me be the one Let me be the one These legs are unsteady But I crossed this continent already Through floods and hurricanes, but I would keep on walking If only you would let me be the one Let me be the one No one said it would ever be this hard But I will find my way into your heart These arms are so heavy But there's water rising all around me and my lips are so ready that I would float forever If only you would let me be the one Let me be the one No one said it would ever be this hard But I will find my way into your heart Broken down in pieces on the floor Broken down in pieces In pieces Let me be the one
5.
Sit straight - Behave Lips sealed - Blank page I sit still, my mind mind races The clock moves twelve spaces And just one voice remains Just one voice remains (Ooo) Your congregation is ready and waiting I'll sit and be calm but my mind rages We'll end up wherever the wave takes us And in the eye of the storm there's just one voice that remains Just one voice remains (Ooo) I'm sitting and waiting For my turn - my hand is up I'm behaved. The key to my future is discipline I'm sitting debating migration my hand is up a bee hive the key to my future is something I know... I just forget. I get distracted, and I forget. My mind wanders, and I forget.

about

Why play in a band? Before we recorded Bring Out Your Dead we were faced with this question. The answer? Because making music with your friends makes you and your music better. This is the reason we recorded our first EP live-off-the-floor. That means the four of us were in one room, playing at the same time, recording the entire track together. The result is five strikingly honest songs: the tempos shift, the tuning fluctuates, the guitars buzz, and we think it's beautiful.
